Monday 30 August 2010.

A brand new week new blessings and don’t let last week failures ruin the beauty of this week. A very good morning everyone! Today has its own promise of love, forgiveness, joy and success. Let’s make it today a possible in every of the goals and all the best of your day.

To all my Muslim Brothers and Sisters, this is the time that we are waiting for. The Night of Power, Night of Super Marathon has started. Let's achieve our goals together.

Later at 4.00am I will start off with 3 dates, 2 bananas and will consume lots of water till the fasting start at 05.35am. This week training will be held at 6.15pm onwards for the 10 days. Will continue writing the journal later.

This evening I started to feel the emotion, feel like going home but still not completed all the mission. I could feel the strong "Night of Power" is around and I want to achieve it. Today I will be running around Yishun Estate.

TRAINING REPORT:

Did 5km run.
Stretch up.

REMARKS:

No comment pain at the stump area but did well in the run

I will be getting another flex-run and the total amount is $6500, hope to raise it soon and will be using for the next run in Philippines and Egypt.

Time to break the fast. I had 3 dates and a cup of plain water. Did not feel hungry and this is enough for me. Told you that XANGO really works. Thanks to Raja Izam Mansor. Will continue writing the journal later.

While sitting alone at the corner, i was thinking this guy who is an insurance Agent but because I did not sign up the plan he decided to forward his clients  to other disability runner and informed others not to be my friends in FB. OMG! what kind of attitude this is. If you don't like just delete but not to criticize me just not to sign the paper. My Financial planner already taken care of me for many years.

To Adam please focus what you want - Sprinter, Marathon or Ultra Marathon. You are an idol and inspiration to others but focus on what are you doing, You told everyone that you gonna be in paralympic for the 200 meter sprint in 2012 but your mindset change to long distance runner. So which one do you prefer? Please let everyone know again and stop the rumour that had been spreading around. For 44 years I had been handicap and I do not want the disability market to be spoiled and hope that you understand this. Even you can ask any PRO they will reply the same as Mok and others also do comment that you are over trained. If you want to inspire people, do it in a professional way that won't affect other amputees and the name of disability around. Yes, believe in yourself and make it happen but not to injure yourself.

Admin: how many of you guys after Sahur/Subur go a walk or run to digest the food in the stomach? Do leave comment in this blog or Face book. Thank you.

I received a comment from friend that a Coach from a well known Disability organization criticize and make fun on me that I run limping, (mata kero) and many more. Well, no big issue on this but I feel disappointed with him as he will treat other disability like this too and I totally have no respect on him. Please learn not to be biased and behave like a Pro Coach when handling athletes. This kind of Coach will spoiled the good name of an organization and that why I do not want to join their group anymore. There are more to find out on this Coach attitude and let one fine day Sports Council will investigate. I do not want to comment more and for the next National Track and Field Championship, I won't participate in the future games.

Since morning I had been listening the CD of my motivational speaker in the world, Les Brown. He really inspired me. Yes!!! if Les Brown could do it why not me. I do not have any high school education nor any high post in any industry just an experience from cleaner to security post but I had done well for the past 25 years and no one knows I am a handicap but I had shown all the employer what I had done. Tomorrow I will be back into the field and will make it POSSIBLE again. Samson Zee had introduce me the Les Brown CD and I wana be like him one day. Les Brown had no high school collage but he done it well. Let's make it happen!!

Stalls are open early in the morning and could see all kind of baju kurung with colourful design  and  special made from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Price range from $200 to $10 for a pics but at some store they are giving discount. Wah! during the expedition spotted few of my relative there doing their shopping too and it's better to shop in the day compare at night where it will be over crowded. In the wet market you could smell the freshness of seafood from chicken to prawns are on Lelong!!! (sale) my wife did morning market too but we will be back again to Geylang somewhere next week once I got my pay check for shopping. Friday 20 August 2010.

It's TGIF and raining at Yishun Estate. A very good morning to everyone. Today is the 10th day we had our fasting in the month of ramadhan. This morning I had 3 dates, 1 banana, last sac of XANGO and followed by fish porridge while the rest of my family had Mac chicken. Today is my rest day no training.

This afternoon I manage to get a few contacts and with effect from next week Monday, Wednesday and Friday I will be earning some money. Thanks to God. With the good news, I bring my family to break the fast at North Point Yishun. I had 3 dates and a bowl of KFC chicken porridge while the rest of my family had rojak, soto madura and carrot cake. I am so happy with Munira (moon) as she is giving me some advice on training. Thanks to moon and with the good spirit that I had tonight, I will go for a 5km run around Yishun Estate. KEEP GOING SBR!!!

Thursday 19 August 2010.

It's 4.40am and thanks to Munira (moon) to wake me up. This morning I felt weak due to running nose that was attacking me since yesterday afternoon. Anyway took some medicine and hope everything will goes well by today. A very good morning and I wish everyone is in good health always and keep going no matter what it is. So what is the plan for today?? Well later at noon I will be heading to Yishun Library to borrowed some books on Desert race and motivational. Hey! received an PM email from Jane Peng on her journey to Egypt for Sahara Desert Race later this year where she going to run 250km. Really inspired on her. I need to spend time with her and get to know more on her experience preparing for the journey. Meanwhile everyone, keep supporting her and all the best. Something bump into my head, hey!! let's invite Jane to Everest if she is keen. emmmm! well! will let her know at the Loof party in Sept. Hahahaha! I still remembered when I told Ann from Running Lab if she wanna join in the expedition, OMG! she was shock and fall sick for 4 days hehehe! I can't forget this, sorry to make her fright. It's 5.13am and let me go for a short walk around Yishun Estate to digest the food in my stomach before heading to bed again at 6am. I need more sweat!!!

it's 5pm in Singapore. I had a good sleep since morning and miss going to the library. Anyway I feel fresh now and energetic. Will start back the training this evening at 10pm.

This evening I break the fast with 3 dates, 1 sac of  XANGO and a cup of coffee. Later about 20mins I will continue with fish porridge, spinach and consume lots of water.

Warm up and stretch up
Push up 10X3

REMARKS:

After hard days of training with heavy bag pack, I did well in the 10km run with non stopping and slip of drink. Will improve the run technique if I train more harder. 3 more weeks to Army Half Marathon, still consider either carrying heavy stuff during the run or thinking going for personal best. What do you think in AHM??  please comment. Thank you.

Tips from Mike Geary.

Vegetables That Fight Abdominal Fat (wah! this is the best time to kill all the FATS hehehe!)

A unique way that a few specific vegetables can actually stimulate the burning of abdominal fat...
article by Mike Geary, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Specialist
Author -- The Truth about Six Pack Abs

I bet you didn't know that there is a specific class of vegetables that contain very specific phytonutrients that actually help to fight against stubborn belly fat.
Let me explain what these unique vegetables are and why they help to burn stomach fat...
Chemicals that force your body to hold onto belly fat

Something you may have never heard about is that certain chemicals in our food supply and our environment, such as pesticides, herbicides, and certain petrochemicals from air and water pollution, household cleaners, cosmetics, etc can react with your body and make your body store excess abdominal fat.

These chemicals are known as xenoestrogens.

Xenoestrogens are chemicals that you are exposed to (and are hard to avoid in the modern world) that have an estrogenic effect in your body. Excess exposure to these can cause hormone balance disruptions for both men and women. So these can wreak havoc in the body for both guys and gals.

These estrogenic chemicals that we are exposed to on a daily basis can stimulate your body to store belly fat, along with many other problems (including cancer risks in the long term).

So here's where this specific class of vegetables comes in handy...

One of those cool tricks that I teach my clients that hire me for nutritional counseling is the use of cruciferous vegetables to help fight against stomach fat.

Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, kale, cabbage, etc. contain very specific and unique phytonutrients such as indole-3-carbinol (I3C) that help to fight against these estrogenic compounds...

And by fighting against these belly fat stimulating estrogenic chemicals, this is just 1 more step in helping you to win the battle against abdominal fat!

So there you go... just another excuse to do what mom always told you and eat more broccoli!

I've really learned to like brussells sprouts in the last year too... Melt a little grass-fed cheese on them and some garlic and they're great!

so guys, what are you waiting for!!!!!!

I am already 44 years, can I get the ABS?? well, why not! It's just bit of hard working and need to be done. Let's make it happen with more ABS exercise... Wah! :) :)

Wednesday 18 August 2010.

A new day new blessings don’t let yesterday's failures ruin the beauty of today. Blessings of God are new every morning. Today has its own promise of love, forgiveness, joy and success. A very good morning to everyone. This morning I start off with 3 dates, bananas, 1 sac of XANGO and consume lots of water. This is enough for a day till the breakfast at 7.15pm in the evening.

This year Hari Raya will be fall on Friday 10 Sept 2010 and Sunday will be the Army Half Marathon. Wah! it gonna be a great day!!! anyway this year AHM I won't be going for timing but to run with 10 kilos of heavy bag pack for the upcoming mission in Philippine and Egypt.

This evening Adam onearmrunner will be flying off to Sweden for Disability Games. All the best and keep going and most importance is to have FUN!

At 12.30pm I will be at Changi Airport T1 Apron section for OJT.

It was a busy day for me since afternoon. Meet up with my Prosthetist Mr Trevor at Artificial Limb Centre of Tan Tock Seng Hospital to change the flex-run sole and also custom made for the standard prosthetic leg. After the appointment I and Alif will be heading to Airport T1 for meeting.

Wah! what my wife and close friends told me is true, there are people out there want to condemn and talk bad about me. Let it be and why should I be angry as I do not have any problem with them, only Allah know the truth and why should I respond to Jason comment on his FB. Is it wrong just because I am giving support to Munira (moon) as she is seeking psychiatric treatment and people does not believe her and why Can't I put moon in the Year End Run committee?? OMG! what kind of attitude is this people!! as human we must help those who are in need. Yes, moon and I had communication breakdown before but that does not mean we can't forgive each other. I know her well since last year and we must give her more support and not to kill her. Only a loser will do that. Learn to forgive and I believe this is a healthy situation. The objective now is to promote sports and it does not matter who are in the team. We should work together and make it happen. Let's focus and keep away all the negative thoughts in our mind. Macham mana mau maju!!

Do visit Munira (moon) blog at http://www.moonsupertramp.blogspot.com/ as she is suffering from Depression but to me I see it she is getting better and better. We still need to give her more support.

Munira (moon) I am so happy for you, Yes! you did it again and keep going for the third day fasting and praying. May Allah bless you always. "orang tak suka tak apa tapi Allah suka" biar apa pun terjadi asal kan kita jangan lupa pada dia dan jagan hasrat denki pada orang lain. Ingat kita hidup sementara saja apa-apa pun life have to carry on.

Adam onearmrunner... I hope you can solve this situation fast and close the subject soon. No point to exchange words in FB, email or sms. Whatever happen between you and moon is better to let it down. I hope do respect Ramadan. Malu kalau kita bergaduh sesama bangsa and do it fast. Thank you.

Cancel training today.

Happy 45th National Day

On behalf of my family and I would like to wish all Singaporean Happy 45th National Birthday.

It is 1.39am in Singapore, OMG! I am still awake. Got to clear all my works before going for a short nap.

The bell started to rang at 05.15am. I am feeling so sleepy and had a cup of black coffee. Pack all the things and will be out of the house by 05.50am and will be heading to Bt Timah, Evans Road at MOE CCAB.

On the way to Khatib MRT Station, spotted Ham as he is rushing to board the train. During the journey discuss with him some of the issued regarding the National Day Run. As we were alight from the train saw Adam at Newton MRT Station. All of us heading together to Evans Road.

I was happy to see number of runners who turn up for the event. OMG! suddenly there is something wrong somewhere and I had to called Ham immediately and brief him and lucky he knew it and already plan in in advance, thanks to Ham. There are volunteers all around and they had been assign on their duties role to play on. Wah! could see the spirit of the team while me and Adam keep entertaining the runners. Thanks to Mr Patrick from SIS "SCIENCE IN SPORT" who had sponsored the drinks and gels for all the runners and really appreciate it. I received comment from runners that they like the taste of the electrolyte drinks. With this I hope more runners will give more support to SIS.

At 7.45am we did a short brief on the safety aspect and by 8am the run was flag off. The first group of runners started to run and followed by the 2nd group. I did not run this event as I want all my runners to have fun and joy in the morning of National Day. The purpose of this run is to promote good health and keep fit always.
