Hi Runners! Less than 4 hours to go! Are you READY! Once again run safe, focus, all the best, keep going towards the end, make it happen in 2010 and see you guys at the finisher line. Just a short advice, rights after the run go for a short run to cool and stretching down. Keep hydrating with recovery drink or 100 plus and eats well.
1.30am in Singapore. I am getting ready myself for the big day. Later at 2.30am I will be meeting with Endon, Ee Lin and Hamritpal Singh. All of us will share a cab to Orchard Road and stop at Shaw House MacDonald's.
Reaching there we meet lots of runners and took photos. After bag been deposit at Angullia Park station I did warm up and run along the Orchard Road. My tag no is under sub 6 and need to be at the slot area before 4.30am. Meet up with Bro Zul and the rest of the friends. I am ready and at 5am the journeys starts.
I start slow all the way from Orchard Road to Maxwell Road and near Cecil Street was human jams, OMG! could not reach the 10km target time. Reaching Esplanade is cool as the road is wide. Experience some cramp near 10km route, how could that happen? as I had been warming up right or it could be a cold muscle due to earning morning. I applied some "TGC" cream and it's super fast heal. Thanks!
At ECP was dam human jams and I was running and walking as could not move into the lane as some runners are jay walking and having their fun, blocking the serious runners like me. Guess what total time that I lost was about 2 half hours there. I think the organizer should place a lane where serious runner on the right and for those having fun should be on the left.
I love the heat part near Marina Barrage as it is super dam hot like Desert hahaha! Meet up with my old buddy where we used to run together at last year marathon and he is helping me by splashing water at my head. Thanks Ramlan!
